Services for students and graduates
• Career Hub: Connect to CareerHub to:
- Search for jobs—new positions are advertised daily on Career Hub. Local, national and international based jobs from casual work during study to exclusive career opportunities for USC graduates are listed here.
- Access online resources—including information on upcoming careers events and orkshops, templates, guides, competitions and useful weblinks.

• Career counselling and guidance: A one-on-one session with a trained careers advisor can help with life and career planning, goal setting, developing options, exploring personality work preferences, job search skills, interview coaching and overcoming career transition issues. Make an appointment or drop in between 12noon and 1pm daily for a 5–30 minute consultation.

• Career guide: Select a program of study to help you get the career you want using the online Career Guide. It is important to speak to a Program Adviser in your faculty if you are considering changes to your program of study.

• Resume and job application assistance: Contact Career Connection to make an appointment or email your resume or application in for feedback.

• Workshops and events: Career Connection hosts employer visits, industry-specific and job hunting workshops and the annual careers fair. Upcoming events are listed on CareerHub and on the event calendar.

• Volunteer opportunities: Each year USC students volunteer to gain experience and make a difference in local communities. The USC Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team gives you the chance to volunteer for a community outreach project.

• Print and web resources: A range of books, videos and career resources are available at the Career Connection office, or you can browse the electronic careers and employment resources on the website or on CareerHub.

Services for employers and industry

• Student and graduate employment: USC students are work-force ready. If you are looking for a graduate, part-time, project-based or even voluntary employee, contact us. We can help you find the right person for the job.

• Free advertising of jobs and recruitment information: Promote vacancies, work experience opportunities, your company information and company events on the University’s CareerHub. There is no cost and you may also register to add, update, maintain and manage the information directly.

• Work experience opportunities: USC programs often incorporate practical workplace experience for students (Work Integrated Learning or WIL). Partner with USC for internships, guided industry projects, research, practicums, clinical placements, mentoring and/or a combination of workplace-oriented activities.

• Assistance and advice on employment issues: The Career Connection team keeps up-to-date with industry and employment information and has established links with local employers and industries. If you need a sounding board on employment-related issues, please get in touch.

• Industry guest lectures and visits: USC has opportunities for industry partners to conduct guest lectures, host site visits and field trips and conduct campus visits with students.
